Characterization and Experiments of Antimicrobial Metal Compound of Schiff Bases with Thienyl- 2 Glyoxal

Abstract

A sequence of new Co(II), Ni(II) & Cu(II) metal chelates with Schiff base ligands derived from Thienyl-2 glyoxal and Aminopyridine-2 condensation derivatives and characterized by elemental, IR, Mass, NMR, magnetic and electronic spectral data processing. The antimicrobial function and complexes of the Schiff base were also analyzed, indicating that the complexes were more antimicrobial and antibacterial than the free ligands.
